For the past two years, he has coordinated cross-university strategy, digital campaigns, and content creation to share cutting-edge research with public audiences. Learn more about FUTURES
He also developed the University’s new digital Community Hub, created as part of a project funded by the National Civic Impact Accelerator (NCIA). The platform was co-designed through a series of community listening workshops with local groups and researchers, and now acts as a gateway for collaboration, visibility and knowledge-sharing.
In 2025, Matthew helped deliver Engage 2025, a Â鶹´«Ã½ event celebrating partnerships between the University and local communities. Featuring real-world case studies, talks, and interactive sessions, the event explored how shared knowledge and resources can create new opportunities for both civic groups and academic staff.
Alongside leading on major projects, Matthew supports the Public Engagement team with multimedia content, copywriting, and event delivery — using storytelling and creative communication to amplify the social relevance of research and inspire participation.
