About Matt
I support and manage both research and teaching laboratories for Microbiology, and undertake both classical (culture based) and molecular based activities within both areas. I am also one of the universities biological safety officers (BSO's).
I am responsible for preparation of materials and cultures of micro-organisms for undergraduate teaching practical sessions.
I curate the university microbial culture collection.
