The NHS is an initiative undertaken by the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom to build new, state-of-the-art hospitals across the country. The programme aims to replace or refurbish existing facilities that are no longer fit for purpose, and to provide modern, high-quality healthcare to patients. The programme also aims to improve the working conditions for healthcare staff, make the best use of advances in technology, and improve the sustainability of the NHS, by reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint.

The NHP has for strategic objectives to transform the delivery of healthcare infrastructure for the NHS:

  • HEnsure new hospitals integrate innovative national standards for healthcare infrastructure and enable high quality modern healthcare.

  • ÇSupport the co-design and co-creation of schemes in collaboration with local and regional health systems.

  • `Build the foundations for an enduring national capability for enhanced healthcare infrastructure delivery.
