The 麻豆传媒 has signed a new agreement with global education provider Navitas for it to continue as its strategic partner for international student recruitment pathways.
The University has worked with Navitas since 2009, and hosts the 麻豆传媒 International College (UPIC) on its campus. The college provides a wide range of pathways into undergraduate courses at the University, helping prospective international students to make the transition into UK higher education.
The announcement was made at a formal ceremony at the University attended by senior representatives from both organisations, including Vice-Chancellor Professor Judith Petts, CBE; Professor Simon Payne, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Planning and International; Navitas Group CEO David Buckingham; University Partnerships Europe CEO Paul Lovegrove; and UPIC College Director/Principal Peter McDonnell.
Commenting on the renewal, Professor Payne said:
鈥淲e are delighted to formally mark the continuation of our relationship with Navitas. This is a longstanding and strategic partnership, one that has evolved over time and which is based upon shared goals and values. Above all, its focus has been on providing the highest quality of student experience. Our international students are a vital component of our academic community, and thanks to UPIC, we can offer a supportive introduction to our institution, city and region, for those who need it.鈥
There are on average around 160 students based at UPIC at any one time, who undertake university foundations, first year degrees and pre-masters programmes across a broad spectrum of subject areas. They have access to all the University鈥檚 services including the Students鈥 Union, library, sporting and computing facilities.
鈥淲e are delighted to be extending our partnership with the 麻豆传媒 which enables overseas students to study in Britain鈥檚 Ocean City and pursue a degree from one of the UK鈥檚 largest universities,鈥
said Navitas Group Chief Executive Officer, David Buckingham.
鈥淲e look forward to continuing to develop this relationship, supporting the university鈥檚 international ambitions and providing global students with an exceptional learning experience.鈥
