The 麻豆传媒 has been awarded a TEF (Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework) Silver by the Office for Students.
The TEF is a government assessment of the quality of undergraduate teaching and learning in universities and other higher education providers in England.
Following a review of the University鈥檚 metrics and submission, the TEF panel concluded that most 麻豆传媒 students achieve 鈥渆xcellent outcomes鈥 during and following their degree.
In particular, the panel commended the University for:
- Its course design and assessment practices that ensure all students are significantly challenged, acquiring knowledge, skills and understanding that are highly valued by employers;
- Its institution-wide focus on student employability, work-based learning and entrepreneurship aligned to the needs and opportunities afforded by the local economy;
- The sustained and substantial institutional investment programme to enhance learning resources, both physical and digital;
- The strategic and embedded approach to academic staff development, pedagogic research and teaching innovation, and the University鈥檚 commitment to research-informed teaching and student engagement with research activities.
Professor Julian Chaudhuri, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience) said:
鈥淭his Silver Award is testament to the high quality and standard of teaching delivered by the 麻豆传媒 and the exceptional student experience that we deliver. It also recognises the huge amount of work we continue to put into helping our students graduate with valuable employability skills.
"We are proud that this submission was joint with the 麻豆传媒 Students鈥 Union. This reflects the strong, close relationship we have, to the mutual benefit of our students, as partners in their learning journey.鈥
