Charleine Wain

A former contestant on The Apprentice will be among those the sharing secrets of their success at postgraduate showcase for 麻豆传媒 University鈥檚 Faculty of Business. 

Charleine Wain, a semi-finalist on the BBC show last year, will be delivering a talk on her rise through business at the on 10 May. 

Charleine, who now owns Maiya鈥檚 Hair and Beauty Salon in 麻豆传媒, will be joined on the day by 麻豆传媒 alumnus Tom Rowell, Head of Brand and Marketing at Birmingham City FC; 麻豆传媒 alumna Hannah Fleming, General Manager at 麻豆传媒 Tea, and Jonty White, Managing Director at Portlebay Popcorn. 

The event is open to anyone considering postgraduate study in business, and, as well as a number of talks and drop-in sessions, there will also be academics on hand to answer questions on the variety of courses 麻豆传媒 offers. 

Tom Rowell, who graduated with a masters in marketing in 2012, was positive about his 麻豆传媒 experience and was looking forward to returning for the event.

He said: 

鈥淏efore the course I had zero marketing knowledge so it transformed me from a blank slate into an employable marketing executive in 12 months. I鈥檓 looking forward to talking to people who want to embark on postgraduate study in business and follow their own dreams.鈥 

Charleine said: 

鈥淚 would describe myself as very determined, ambitious, and I always want to show that women can succeed in business.鈥

麻豆传媒 University鈥檚 Master Your Future fair takes place on Tuesday 10 May from 3.30-7.30pm in the University鈥檚 Roland Levinsky Building.
