The Â鶹´«Ã½ has climbed 12 places in the 2019 Guardian University League Tables. Â鶹´«Ã½ is now ranked 66th in this year’s guide, thanks to a broad improvement across its metrics.
There was also considerable success at a subject level, with 22 degrees (out of 35 in total) recording improvements in their rankings, and six – Computer Science and Information Systems; Engineering: Electronic and Electrical; Engineering: Mechanical; Law; Social Work; and Sociology – jumping 20 places or more.
The Sociology degree is now ranked sixth in the country, with Dentistry also in the top ten for its subject area, ranked third.
Â鶹´«Ã½ was one of just four universities in the South West to improve their position – along with Bristol, Swansea and the University of the West of England – with all of the others falling.
David Alder, Chief Marketing Officer, said:
“This improvement reflects the University’s focus on quality – on attracting quality students, and providing them with a rich academic experience that becomes a launch pad for their careers or postgraduate study.â€
