Lee See Voon won the Institution of Civil Engineers Prize 2007 for outstanding undergraduate work on her BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering degree.

"I really enjoyed my time studying at Â鶹´«Ã½ University. The University has some very supportive and experienced lecturers. Thanks to my degree I am now working for an international consultancy firm as a Graduate Engineer.

One of my first projects involved the steelwork design for one of the buildings on the Penryn college development in Cornwall. I am currently working on a five storey residential development in Newquay. Due to the irregular shape of the building, the design and analysis are done by ETABS and SAFE: ETABS for the concrete frame design, SAFE for the floor slab design (software package for the structural analysis and design of buildings and structures).

I have enjoyed the process of learning: there are plenty of opportunities here and I have found the office an excellent environment for learning and development. With the excellent Hyder graduate training and development programme, I hope to gain my chartership within the next five years."
