This is Matheus's story

Choosing Â鶹´«Ã½

“

The main reason for choosing to study BA (Hons) International Management at Â鶹´«Ã½ was that I always wanted to have an international career, and doing my studies abroad at a renowned university would be the first step to reach that goal.

When I arrived at Â鶹´«Ã½, I was amazed to see how much the University helps you get the most out of your studies. The Careers and Employability Service gave me great advice that enabled me to better plan my career path, the Writing Café helped me better express myself in written English and write better essays for my classes, the Languages Café enabled me to enhance my language skills, and the 24/7 library service was absolutely essential to study and write my essays!

The University offered many sessions regarding British culture and language, which definitely helped me get used to living and studying in the UK. I also had a tutor who was always supporting me during my time at the University.

I would recommend the University due to its incredible infrastructure, high-level professors, great location and amazing people.

Studying at Â鶹´«Ã½ confirmed that I was following the right career plan. As I said, I always wanted to have an international career, but I hadn’t had an international experience before Â鶹´«Ã½. By studying abroad for a year, I realised that I had chosen the right path!

“Explore 100 per cent what the University has to offer. There are so many things to do – leisure and study wise – that can enhance our experience, but most of us do not take the time to search and participate in them.â€

A global mindset

“

After completing my studies at Â鶹´«Ã½, I went back to Brazil and was selected to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Mexico City as an International Tax Consultant in their Global Mobility area.

I am completely sure that my degree was the deciding factor for being hired by PwC Mexico.

The international experiences I’ve had so far - last year in Â鶹´«Ã½ and currently in Mexico City - have been amazing! Going abroad to work or study is always an adventure. It pushes us out of our comfort zone, expands our mind, enhances our skills and makes it possible to have friends from all around the world.
